Ghislaine Maxwell,\nnow under arrest and suicide watch, has fallen from the privileged perch she\nonce held as alleged procurer of girls for the pleasure of powerful men. Maxwell\nis the long-time intimate of Jeffrey Epstein, who supposedly killed himself in\njail last August awaiting sentencing for sexual abuse of multiple underage\nwomen. Maxwell and Epstein were party pals with such luminaries as Donald\nTrump, Prince Andrew, Bill Clinton, Alan Dershowitz and many, many more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u00e2\u0080\u0099s a fact of nature\nthat snakes mate in swarms, so it\u00e2\u0080\u0099s no surprise to discover that Ghislaine\nMaxwell has a Kala Sarpa<\/em> horoscope, as does Donald Trump and Prince\nAndrew. For the uninitiated, a Kala Sarpa configuration is one where half of\nthe chart lies empty on one side of the nodal axis defined by Rahu and Ketu.\nHers is a Class 4 type, the most commonly occurring (6.5%) of the lot, wherein a\nplanet (Moon in her case) remains within the sign occupied by the node, yet lies\noutside the degree of the nodal axis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assessment of any\nKala Sarpa begins with the house positions of the nodes. Think of the nodal\naxis as a bar magnet, with compulsive attraction at the Rahu end, and\nambivalent repulsion at the Ketu end. Rahu in the 3rd often reflects a talent\nfor communication, liaison and marketing which, coupled with Rahu\u00e2\u0080\u0099s natural\ncharisma and capacity for manipulation, can produce the modern equivalent of a\nsnake oil salesman. On the flip side, Ketu in the 9th reflects an absent,\nremote or weak relationship with one\u00e2\u0080\u0099s father, whose very character may erode another\n9th house theme \u00e2\u0080\u0093 morality and the law. Thus, Ketu in the 9th could be summed\nup with an attitude of, I recognize no moral authority, so nobody tells me\nwhat to do<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Analysis of Kala\nSarpa next requires an assessment of the planets ruling the nodes. Here, both\nnodal dispositors are powerful \u00e2\u0080\u0093 a full-ish Moon in its own sign with Rahu, and\nSaturn in its own sign with Ketu. But the Moon\u00e2\u0080\u0099s presence on the nodal axis\nspins this into dosha<\/em> territory, wherein flaws of some sort or another\ncontribute to the detriment of the individual. The nodes, after all, are\nnatural enemies of the luminaries because of their power to eclipse them. And\nsince the Moon is a general indicator of the perceptions and personality, the\nnodal presence makes her twitchy, shadowy, dark\u00e2\u0080\u00a6<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The dosha<\/em>\ntheme is further reinforced by the presence of greater malefic Saturn on the\nnodal axis, and the aspect of lesser malefic Mars on Rahu. Thus, the nodes, and\ntherefore the Kala Sarpa pattern as a gestalt<\/em>, take on a darker theme.\nThe presence of a debilitated Jupiter on the nodal axis may help assuage the\ntrouble somewhat, but it can\u00e2\u0080\u0099t reverse the tide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The nodes have the\npower to act as proxies for whatever planets they\u00e2\u0080\u0099re linked to \u00e2\u0080\u0093 by\nassociation, aspect or rulership. In Maxwell\u00e2\u0080\u0099s case, the Moon and Saturn loom\nlarge because they are both associates and<\/em> dispositors. Once we\nunderstand that, we need to take a closer look at the role those two planets\nplay in her chart, and what relationship they have with each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Moon is a\npowerful 3rd house lord. Among other things, it rules (a) desire because the\n3rd is one of the three kamasthanas<\/em> \u00e2\u0080\u0093 3rd, 7th, and 11th \u00e2\u0080\u0093 and (b) the\ncourage to act on one\u00e2\u0080\u0099s desires, whether sexual or more generic, as when one\ndesires to be rich or famous or powerful. But because Rahu accompanies the\nMoon, such desires can be corrupted, subject to the twisting and turning of the\nserpentine nodes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saturn is a powerful\n9th house lord. Among other things, it rules (a) morality because the 9th is\none of the three dharmasthanas<\/em> \u00e2\u0080\u0093 1st, 5th, and 9th \u00e2\u0080\u0093 and (b) father\nfigures and mentors of influence. Again, because Ketu accompanies Saturn, both\nmorals and father figures can be corrupted by the nodes, all the more so since\na debilitated Jupiter, the very karaka<\/em> of dharma<\/em>, acts like a\nrotten apple in the barrel. And what a woman learns from her father (9th house)\ninfluences her relationships with other men throughout her life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now consider the\ninvolvement of these two nodal dispositors in yogas. The Moon opposite Jupiter\nforms a mixed-strength Kesari<\/em> yoga, essentially the mark of a schmoozer\nwho\u00e2\u0080\u0099s comfortable in a meet-and-greet, sales-and-marketing role. At the other\nend of the axis is 9th lord Saturn with 11th lord Jupiter, forming a\nmixed-strength Dhana<\/em> yoga. In Ghislaine\u00e2\u0080\u0099s case, her wealth comes courtesy\nthe estate of her late father, media magnate and financial fraudster Robert\nMaxwell. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, consider the\nmutual aspect between the Moon and Saturn. Although this doesn\u00e2\u0080\u0099t form any\nimmediately recognizable classical yoga, it is a signature for passion. Passion\ncombos can be summed up as any \u00e2\u0080\u009ccross-contamination\u00e2\u0080\u009d between the \u00e2\u0080\u009cladies\u00e2\u0080\u009d (Moon\nand Venus) and the \u00e2\u0080\u009cbad boys\u00e2\u0080\u009d (Mars and Saturn) of the zodiac. Here we have a\npowerful pair, the Moon and Saturn, in face-to-face contact via their mutual\naspect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This theme is\nreinforced by Ghislaine\u00e2\u0080\u0099s robust stellium of four planets in the 8th house. In\nand of itself, this is a remarkable cluster that contains no less than five\nRaja yogas and one Dhana yoga, but key among this group are Mars and Venus, the\nrequisite pair of male\/female partners that further substantiates the passion theme.\nThis gains even more momentum when we note that these two planets are also the\n1st and 7th lords, ruling the Self and the Other, while their association in\nthe 8th house is virtually a formula for sexual transactions and\/or commerce. For\nbonus points, note how Mars also aspects the Moon, yet another male\/female\ncontact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because Mars is\ncombust, this aggravates the whole 8th house cluster, metaphorically suggesting\nan itch that must be scratched, although ultimately this could be to the\ndetriment of the Other, since it\u00e2\u0080\u0099s the 7th lord that is combust. This is all\nthe more significant, since Maxwell is now in her Mars dasha<\/em>, when the\nkarmic consequences of a combust kama<\/em> lord of the 7th in a\nscandal-themed dusthana<\/em> (the 8th) must inevitably find its outlet in the\nruination of some Other(s).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ironically, many venomous\nsnakes are immune to the poison of their own species. So, when you stir up a nest\nof vipers, they may strike blindly in all directions, but harm none of their\nown. Yet, because they live among us, they threaten collateral damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gentlemen, put your lawyers on retainer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
