Readers\ninterested in the attributed values governing the appearance of this graph are\nencouraged to read earlier posts in this series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nblue line represents the cumulative energy that Rahu carries on behalf of\nplanets for whom it can act as a proxy during the period; the red line\nrepresents that of Ketu. The vertical scale reflects magnitude of effect only,\nwith no distinction between benefic vs malefic influence. Aside\nfrom Saturn\u00e2\u0080\u0099s long-term association with Ketu, the uptick in this quarter is largely\na consequence of Jupiter also entering sidereal Sagittarius in November, joined\nover the following weeks by both Venus and the Sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In\nthe last week of December, two other planets pile on. Mercury enters\nSagittarius too, while Mars enters Scorpio to influence Rahu via its 8th-house special\naspect. A solar eclipse on Boxing Day is the icing on the cake. Thus, the nodes\nexert their greatest effect over the Christmas holiday period. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These effects may be felt most keenly by anyone whose ascendant, luminaries or key planets occupy 10:00-13:20 degrees sidereal Gemini or Sagittarius. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\">~~~<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Alan Annand<\/strong>&nbsp;studied with Hart de Fouw, and is a graduate of the American College of Vedic Astrology.
